Transferring gta v files to friend's pc. my friend has really slow internet, like 300kb/s slow. would it be possible for me to transfer a clean download of gta v onto a usb drive external harddrive and give it to him. he could then move it to steamapps and install. so now i just use the steam backup utility so i have no hassles. There is no way to disable steam updates (i think you could once but not now with new steam versions). going offline wont work because you need to verify via social club. i have a backup before these updates but it will auto update on launch. if you know a tried and tested method to not have gta v update at all but remain online, i'd be interested..
